Tips and Tricks for:  ASP, IIS, VBScript, Visual Interdev

The Problem:   ASP pages hang when they reference the Scripting.FileSystemObject.

You can see it in the debugger.  Your asp page gets to the Server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") statement and bam! Nothing more happens.

Solution: Turn off Script Blocking in the antivirus program.

This is a known issue with Norton Antivirus, McAfee, and possibly others.  Open the antivirus program and disable script blocking. Hazah! it works.
